Kathmandu, November 4, 2026: South African cricket star David Miller has arrived in Nepal to join Karnali Yaks for the third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL).
The experienced left-handed batter is one of the biggest overseas signings of this year's tournament. Karnali Yaks announced his signing on October 23, bringing an internationally renowned T20 finisher into their squad.
Known for his explosive batting, Miller has built a reputation as one of the most dependable finishers in international and franchise cricket. He has represented South Africa in 140 T20 International matches, scoring 2,804 runs, including two centuries and nine half-centuries.
Miller has also featured in several major T20 leagues, including the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he played a crucial role in Gujarat Titans' maiden title-winning campaign in 2022.
His arrival is expected to strengthen Karnali Yaks' middle order and add valuable international experience to the team. His ability to accelerate the scoring rate and deliver under pressure could prove crucial as the Yaks pursue their maiden NPL title.
The arrival of the South African star is also expected to generate excitement among Nepali cricket fans, who will get the opportunity to watch another internationally celebrated cricketer compete on Nepali soil.
